Sportika Sports and Gallagher Baseball announced that their two baseball programs have officially merged to form Sportika Gallagher Baseball. The merger is an exciting development that fits perfectly into the Sportika mission to develop the student-athlete while also providing new opportunities for growth as an individual.

“As the Director of Baseball, I am excited for us to partner with Gallagher Baseball,” said Nick Franke, Jr. of Sportika. “Our collective game now is to continue to build the Sportika Gallagher brand into becoming the best program in New Jersey.”

Founded by Dave Gallagher, a nine-year Major League Baseball (MLB) veteran, the Dave Gallagher Baseball Academy has become a premier baseball learning academy in New Jersey. It has generated scholarships for its students totaling over $1,000,000 in tuition and professional contracts, all while showcasing a strong emphasis upon fundamentals, training and good sportsmanship.

“I am thrilled to be partnering with an organization that mirrors my passion of developing young student-athletes,” said Gallagher. “Sportika Gallagher offers long-term stability in a top of the line facility for New Jersey athletes.”

Gallagher himself played 17 years of professional baseball. He was originally drafted by the Oakland Athletics as the number three overall selection in the 1980 MLB January Draft (Regular Phase), which made him the highest drafted player ever from the State of New Jersey. He was then taken by the Cleveland Indians with the eighth overall pick in the 1980 MLB June Draft (Secondary Phase). After developing his game in the minor leagues, he eventually enjoyed a nine-year MLB career that included time with seven different clubs (Indians, White Sox, Orioles, Angels, Mets, Braves and Phillies).

“The future is bright for Sportika Gallagher Baseball,” said Jeffrey L. Jordan, Sportika CEO. “Nick Franke, Jr. has done a tremendous job this past year building our brand, and this merger with Dave Gallagher Baseball will only strengthen and accelerate our growth and stability. Sportika Gallagher’s goal is the become the best program in the state for the development of young baseball players, and student-athletes in general.”
