New Jersey Youth Soccer was recently honored by Sky Blue FC of the National Women’s Soccer League as the trimino Brands Youth Soccer Organization of the Year, with the organization being acknowledged for the work of its TOPSoccer program for young athletes with special needs.
“New Jersey Youth Soccer is truly honored to be recognized as the trimino Brands Youth Soccer Organization of the Year for our work with TOPSoccer,” said Carol Cordiner, NJYS TOPSoccer Program Director. “We strive to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl with special needs. For that, we thank Sky Blue FC and trimino for this privilege.”
A formal ceremony was held during halftime at the 2018 Sky Blue FC home finale, where NJ Youth Soccer President Evelyn Gill, Executive Director Evan Dabby, First Vice President Wayne Cordiner and TOPSoccer Program Director Carol Cordiner were part of a presentation with Sky Blue FC President & General Manager Tony Novo.
“First and foremost, we want to congratulate New Jersey Youth Soccer and the NJYS TOPSoccer program, who are such worthy recipients of this honor,” said Novo. “We also want to thank trimino Protein Infused Water for driving this initiative to acknowledge groups that are making such a positive impact in the community.”
TOPSoccer is a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with special needs. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl who wishes to participate in the sport.
Packed with seven grams of whey protein, B vitamins and essential amino acids, trimino is driven by innovation to develop products that provide benefits beyond hydration. trimino was created by three fathers in Guilford, Conn., as they tried to come up with an alternative beverage for their athletic-minded kids. By pooling their resources, they were able to develop trimino as a sugar-free, low calorie protein infused water that offered a healthy alternative to sugary sports drinks and soft drinks.
