2017 Honoree Peter Grandich to Be Joined by Joe and Dan Klecko at 2018 Chef’s Extraordinaire Event
Peter Grandich and Company will be continuing its support for the Common Ground Grief Center at its 5th Annual Chef’s Extraordinaire on April 12, where 2017 honoree Peter Grandich will be joined by New York Jets great Joe Klecko and three-time Super Bowl winner Dan Klecko as his special guests. Additionally, Peter Grandich and Company will be donating sports memorabilia items for a silent auction that will be occurring throughout the evening.
“It is with much pleasure that we announce both Dan and Joe Klecko will be appearing at this great event on behalf of our company,” said Peter Grandich, Managing Member of Peter Grandich and Company. “As last year’s honoree, I was thrilled to see Joe show up as a surprise guest to speak to the audience before introducing me. Joe’s presence ensures that this will be a special night once again, as he and Dan will be there to meet and greet with the attendees before the evening program begins.”
The 5th Annual Chef’s Extraordinaire will be a culinary and wine tasting event to benefit the Common Ground Grief Center. Outstanding cuisine will be prepared by some of the finest chefs in Monmouth and Ocean County, with leading brands of exceptional wines also being available. The event will take place on Thursday, April 12, from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. The venue for this special evening is The Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel, which is located at 1401 Ocean Avenue in Asbury Park, New Jersey.
“The Common Ground Grief Center has been so grateful for Peter’s support over the past several years,” said Lynn Snyder, Executive Director & Founder of the Common Ground Grief Center. “The moment Peter walked through our doors at Common Ground, we knew we had a friend for life. He understood and resonated with our mission immediately, and clearly felt the presence of the bereaved children all around him as he toured the Center.”
The mission of the Common Ground Grief Center is to provide support in a safe place where children, teens, young adults and families who are dealing with loss can come together and share their experiences as they navigate through the grieving process. The Common Ground Grief Center hosts a variety of events to support its great cause, including a humbling evening for Grandich in 2017 when the organization honored him at its 4th Annual Chef’s Extraordinaire.
“Last year, Peter was chosen as the 2017 honoree for our gala,” Snyder continued. “It is not only Peter’s support of our organization that warrants him the title of a true humanitarian, but to the other causes that he feels deeply passionate about. Peter is a kind, humble, gentle human being with strong ties to his faith. To be truly humble is to perform acts of kindness without the need to be recognized; Peter embodies humility. He quietly carries on his good deeds, guided by his strong faith to make the world a better place.”
