Sky Blue FC of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) officially announced on Wednesday that it has exercised the 2017 options on 16 players from its 2016 roster.
Players who have had their 2017 options extended include goalkeepers Caroline Casey and Caroline Stanley; defenders Kristin Grubka, Erin Simon and Erica Skroski; midfielders Kelly Conheeney, Sarah Killion, Taylor Lytle, Raquel Rodriguez and Nikki Stanton; and forwards Kim DeCesare, Leah Galton, Maya Hayes, Tasha Kai, Danielle Schulmann and Catherine Zimmerman.
Sky Blue FC is also finalizing a new contract with forward Sam Kerr, while defenders Kelley O’Hara and Christie Rampone remain on the club’s roster as Federation Players.
Additionally, Sky Blue FC defender CoCo Goodson and midfielder Shawna Gordon have indicated to the club that they will be retiring.
