The Tennessee State Soccer Association (TSSA) recently achieved great success at the US Youth Soccer Southern Presidents Cup, with four TSSA teams reaching the finals and the Jackson SC 2004 Girls claiming the 18U championship. In addition to the Jackson SC 2004 Girls, the Germantown Lady Legends 07 Black (15U Girls), Tri-Cities United 06/07 Girls Premier (16U Girls) and 05 Lady Lobos Rush Elite (17U Girls) each advanced to the final round of the competition as well.

“This was an incredible USYS Southern Regional event,” said Hans Hobson, Chief Operating Officer of the Tennessee State Soccer Association. “Tennessee showed very well as a whole and produced more teams advancing to the National Tournament than ever before.”
The 2022 US Youth Soccer Southern Presidents Cup took place at the Toyota Soccer Center in Frisco, Texas. The event featured more than 150 boys and girls teams in the 13U through 19U age groups. Tennessee sent 14 total teams to the competition after they made successful runs for their age groups during the Tennessee State Cups this spring.
The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup is designed for teams seeking additional challenges against opponents of similar abilities for a national title. Presidents Cup provides a progressive and competitive experience to teams, allowing them to participate in a series of unique experiences highlighting competition, camaraderie and community from the state to regional to national levels of US Youth Soccer.
