Tennessee State Soccer Association (TSSA) recently hosted a TOPSoccer Celebration at the Richard Siegel Soccer Complex in Murfreesboro, which was held during TSSA State Cup competition to create a fully vibrant festival atmosphere throughout the facility. Open to all TOPSoccer friends and families, the festival included mini-games, skills contests, parachute games and a medal ceremony.
“This was the first event of its kind that TSSA has hosted during our State Cup Event,” said Hans Hobson, CEO of the Tennessee State Soccer Association. “We hope that this new event is something we can grow at the same time and location.”
The TSSA TOPSoccer Celebration was completely free of charge for all TOPSoccer friends and families, and the event was staffed by a crew of generous volunteers. A special thanks goes out to Kings Hammer Murfreesboro and All-In Futbol Club for providing the equipment needed to conduct the activities, and Trevecca Women’s Soccer volunteered their time for the TOPSoccer Celebration as well. Additionally, the event would not have been possible without the support and generosity of Mike and Becky Smith, Julie Darnell and Elizabeth Warlick.
TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a recreational sports program for children with intellectual, emotional and physical disabilities. Developed by US Youth Soccer, TOPSoccer creates a platform for those with diverse abilities to play the game in a structured environment that is safe, fun, supportive and inclusive.
