Peter Grandich and Company officially announced today that it will serve as a major sponsor of the 1st Annual TBI Angel Celebrity Hockey Event, which will be held on Sunday, January 21, from 5-7 p.m. at the Ice Land Skating Center in Hamilton, New Jersey.
“It was a no-brainer to support our dear friend and Trinity Board Member Brian Propp with this incredible event,” said Peter Grandich, Managing Member of Peter Grandich Company. “God clearly blessed his recovery so that he could be in the forefront of bringing awareness and support to traumatic brain injuries. The fact that two other Trinity Board Members, Grant Marshall and Bruce Driver, are also supporting Brian’s endeavor made it impossible to say no.”
A 15-year veteran of the National Hockey League (NHL), most notably with the Philadelphia Flyers, Propp suffered a stroke in 2015 due to a blood clot in his brain. He underwent intensive rehabilitation in his recovery, and he has since been a major advocate for education and awareness regarding brain injuries.
“It is awesome to have Peter Grandich and Company as our TBI Angel Major Sponsor for our celebrity hockey game on January 21st in Hamilton, New Jersey,” said Propp. “Peter helps so many people with his charitable giving, and we are proud to have him as our Major Sponsor. I want to thank Peter so much for his continued help to make sure that so many people will benefit from Traumatic Brain Injury’s charity organization.”
TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) Angel was founded by Eric Toppy in 2016 after he sustained significant injuries from a collision with a dump truck on the New Jersey Turnpike in 2010. Having since recovered, Toppy experienced first-hand the healthcare and reintegration barriers that TBI patients face. He established TBI Angel to help victims navigate through that process, as well as provide them with financial and emotional assistance.
Proceeds from the 1st Annual TBI Angel Celebrity Hockey Event on January 21 will benefit TBI Angel, a non-profit 501(c) organization. Along with Propp and fellow Trinity Board Members Grant Marshall and Bruce Driver, additional players in the charitable game include Chris Kotsopoulos, Doug Crossman, Andre Faust and Riley Cote. Sponsorship opportunities are still available, with tickets soon to be available as well on the official TBI Angel website.
