Metro Riveters, Former New Jersey Devils and NJ Devil Mascot Highlight Hockey-Themed Night
Sky Blue FC of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) announced today the details for Pucks at the Pitch, which will be a hockey-themed night at Yurcak Field when the team hosts Portland Thorns FC on Saturday, July 21. Kickoff for the match will take place at 7 p.m., and this special evening is being presented by Peter Grandich and Company.
In attendance on July 21 will be the 2017-18 National Women’s Hockey League champion Metro Riveters, who will also have the Isobel Cup with them. Additionally, a trio of Stanley Cup champions with the New Jersey Devils will be appearing, as Bruce Driver, Ken Daneyko and Grant Marshall are all confirmed to be at the stadium. Another special guest for the fans in attendance will be the NJ Devil mascot.

Once gates open at 6 p.m. on July 21, the Riveters and Devils players will be signing autographs and taking photos with fans on the concourse at Yurcak Field. Prior to kickoff, Sky Blue FC will have Bruce Driver, Ken Daneyko and Grant Marshall on the field as honorary captains, and the Riveters will then be celebrated for their NWHL Championship during halftime with a special ceremony.
