Terry Bowden and Joe Lisi are teaming up twice a week for an hour of college football analysis that plays both sides of the ball: coaching and betting.
Every fall, college football produces two kinds of experts. The ones who lived it from the sideline, and the ones who have spent their careers breaking it down to the decimal point. Starting on Tuesday, August 25th, Fan Stream Sports is putting both in the same booth.
Bowden Ball: The Winning Edge with Terry Bowden and Joe Lisi premieres next Tuesday and will air every Tuesday and Friday night at 7:00 PM ET. This hour-long conversation will be built around college football best bets, viewed from both the wagering side and the coaching side of the game.
Terry Bowden is the coaching half of that equation, and the name carries serious weight. He is a member of the legendary Bowden coaching family, and he is the son of Hall of Fame head coach Bobby Bowden and the brother of former Clemson head coach Tommy Bowden. He has spent more than three decades building his own résumé, manning the sidelines at Auburn University, the University of Akron, the University of Louisiana Monroe, the University of North Alabama, and Samford University. His debut season at Auburn is the stuff of program lore. His Tigers finished the season with an 11-0 record, earning him unanimous National Coach of the Year honors. A few years later, he led Auburn in a trip to the 1997 SEC Championship Game. Since stepping away from coaching, he has carried that sideline perspective into a second career as a college football analyst, translating what he learned calling plays into insight for a national audience.
“No college football podcast can give you the sideline perspective from my 28 years as a head football coach and the 15 years of handicapping by Joe Lisi,” said Coach Bowden. “Together we give you the edge you need when it comes to picking a winner on Saturday.”
Joe Lisi brings the other half to the show. He has built a longstanding reputation as one of the sport’s sharpest analytical minds. He is known as the kind of analyst who can tell you not just who is going to win, but why, using advanced statistics and historical context to break down the complexity of the game with easy-to-understand guidance. His year-round coverage spans game previews, player evaluations, and betting angles, and the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) member is a familiar voice to college football audiences as a co-host of Carver & Lisi. He has also been heard on major media platforms such as SiriusXM, ESPN Radio, CBS Radio, and Crossing Lines (BetUS) with Donnie Rightside and Jeff Nadu.
Put Coach Bowden and Lisi together, and Bowden Ball: The Winning Edge is built to do what neither analysis alone can: pair the coach’s read of a matchup with the data-driven case for how to bet it.
“I love talking college football with Coach Bowden,” said Lisi. “His coaching expertise coupled with my analysis will make our show one of the most in-depth for college football fans heading into the weekend for your pregame fix.”
The show finds its home at Fan Stream Sports, a podcast network built around a simple idea of providing strong local voices and delivering them on a national stage.
“Fan Stream Sports is a podcast network focused on local markets on a national platform,” said John Gerber, CEO of Fan Stream Sports. “Built with strong takes, strong talent, and no fluff! Fan Stream Sports’ mission is to give the audience great perspective from the most respected professionals in the region!”
Without question, Coach Terry Bowden and Joe Lisi fit that mold. These two respected college football minds now share a national platform twice a week for a full hour of college football, no filler included.
Starting next Tuesday, Bowden Ball: The Winning Edge will air live every Tuesday and Friday night at 7:00 PM ET, with episodes available on FanStreamSports.com and across Fan Stream Sports’ podcast, video, and social channels
