RSA Soccer is proud to announce its first college commitment for the fall of 2022, as midfielder Harison Samayoa has confirmed his intent to play at Centenary University in Hackettstown, New Jersey.
“I am excited for my commitment to Centenary University,” said Samayoa. “I want to thank my family, my teammates and RSA for supporting me and giving me the opportunity to achieve this. I am excited to take the next step in my playing career at Centenary.”
A native of Guatemala, Samayoa later moved to Trenton and attended Trenton Central High School. He credits RSA as a key reason for his personal development as a player, which ultimately helped him advance his game to the collegiate level. Samayoa marks the sixth RSA player since 2020 who has continued his soccer career onto the college ranks.
“We are delighted to have yet another RSA player make the commitment to play collegiate soccer,” said Patrick Fuentes, New York Red Bulls Regional Coordinator. “We have no doubt that Harison will find success at the next level.”
Centenary University competes in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) and had two players receive All-SCAC Team accolades this past season. The Cyclones finished their 2021 campaign on a three-match winning streak and will now look to carry that momentum into the fall this year.
