Boone Soccer Club and Colo-Nesco Soccer Club Named Beneficiaries of Spring 2025 Program
Iowa Soccer Association, in proud partnership with SCORE Sports, has announced Boone Soccer Club and Colo-Nesco Soccer Club as the Spring 2025 recipients of its Share The Love Program. This statewide initiative is designed to recognize and support Iowa-based clubs that demonstrate exceptional dedication to growing the game of soccer at the grassroots level.
Through Share The Love, both Boone Soccer Club and Colo-Nesco Soccer Club have received essential soccer gear and apparel provided by SCORE Sports, resources that will help them elevate programming and provide even more value to the young athletes and families they serve.
“We love the opportunity to be part of the game at all levels and in all areas across the state,” said Craig Winger, Chief Member Services Officer at Iowa Soccer Association. “We are grateful to meet our members where they are, support them and simply thank them for their hard work in providing valuable soccer opportunities within their communities. It is their dedication that truly makes all the difference, and we are excited to help, thanks to our relationship with SCORE Sports.”
Launched in 2019, Share The Love was created as a way to give back to the community of member clubs that help strengthen soccer in Iowa. The initiative recognizes not just performance on the pitch, but also a commitment to inclusion, player development and positive impact within the local community that clubs represent. 33 different organizations in Iowa have benefitted from the program since its inception, and nearly 8,500 total items have been distributed (at a value of nearly $40,000). A wide variety of items have been supplied to recipients, including soccer balls, cones and pinnies (the most popular) to shin guards, goalkeeper gloves and first aid kits.
“At Iowa Soccer, our mission is to provide soccer opportunities,” said Dan Cataldi, Chief Executive Officer of Iowa Soccer Association. “This unique partnership with SCORE Sports allows us to help our members do just that by providing things that are needed to play, whether it be safety items like shin guards and goalkeeper gloves or the basics likes balls and cones. These items allow our members to invest their limited funds in other areas and help keep costs down, ensuring more kids have the chance to enjoy the sport throughout the state.”
SCORE Sports, the official uniform partner of Iowa Soccer Association, serves as the program sponsor of Share The Love. Their endorsement of this initiative ensures that selected clubs are provided with high-quality gear that enables their youth athletes to play, grow and thrive.
“At SCORE, we believe every kid deserves a chance to play, no matter where they’re from,” said Rebeka Beteivaz, Director of Marketing and Digital Commerce at SCORE Sports. “Supporting Iowa Soccer’s Share The Love initiative means equipping passionate clubs like Boone and Colo-Nesco with the tools they need to grow the game and make a lasting impact in their communities. We’re proud to stand with Iowa Soccer and celebrate these local heroes who are changing lives through sport.”
Boone Soccer Club, located in central Iowa, is a non-profit and educational organization whose mission is to foster the physical, mental and emotional growth and development of Boone’s youth through the sport of soccer. Colo-Nesco Soccer Club is a passionate local program that provides access to the game for young players in rural communities, exemplifying the spirit of grassroots soccer.
