Player Trials Set for December 23 and December 30 in Long Branch

The New Jersey Wildcats have confirmed tryout dates for those athletes who seek to play on its Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) team during the 2018 season. Player trials are officially set for December 23 and December 30 at Manahassett Creek Park in Long Branch, N.J., and registration is now open.

“All of us at the New Jersey Wildcats are very excited about the upcoming season in the WPSL,” said Kevin McDermott, NJ Wildcats President. “We have been receiving numerous inquiries from prospective players who are interested in joining our WPSL team, which will make for a very competitive training environment as we determine our final roster. We look forward to seeing all of the talented players who are planning to participate in our upcoming tryouts.”

Players who are interested in attending tryouts are asked to email admin@njwildcats.com with their name, cell phone number, email address, as well as soccer playing experience in college, club, professional, WPSL or United Women’s Soccer. Further details will be provided upon receipt of player registration information. On the days of tryouts, all players are asked to bring full soccer gear and their own ball.

Over the years, the NJ Wildcats have featured some of the top stars from the U.S. Women’s National Team, such as two-time FIFA Women’s Player of the Year Carli Lloyd, Tobin Heath, Cat Whitehill and Heather O’Reilly, as well as international standouts Kelly Smith (England), Karina LeBlanc (Canada), Formiga (Brazil) and many others.
