NJ Youth Soccer | US Youth Soccer National League

US Youth Soccer announced today the pool of teams that have been selected for play during the 2017-18 National League season, with New Jersey Youth Soccer having 10 of its teams chosen for competition. National League play is reserved for the nation’s top teams in the 14U through 18U age groups (boys and girls), and it offers the highest level of competition in the country.

The 10 NJ Youth Soccer teams selected for National League competition come from Real Jersey Football Club, Soccer Domain Football Club (Yellow 2003 Girls and 2004 Girls), South Jersey Elite Soccer Academy Rush, New Jersey Stallions (Freedom and Stampede), New Jersey Rush, Players Development Academy (Freedom and Wave) and the Princeton Soccer Association.

“We are very excited for all of the teams, players and coaches who will represent New Jersey in National League competition,” said Evelyn Gill, NJ Youth Soccer President. “This is a great achievement, as it provides the platform to compete at the highest level of play in the country. All of us at New Jersey Youth Soccer are exceptionally proud of these teams, and we know they will do a great job of representing our state.”

National League teams will first play a seven-game schedule over two weekends, facing each team within its age group division. Overall competition consists of three weekends of competition per gender, with each team scheduled during two of the three weekends. The top teams from each division then advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championships, the oldest and most prestigious youth soccer national championship in the country. The four National League representatives will join the four Regional Champions in the 14U through 18U age groups to play for the National Championship. The top teams in each 14U through 17U division also secure a spot to return to National League play the following season.
