Swarm AAU Basketball, which already operates year-round programming at Sportika, announced today that it will be entering the Central Jersey Winter League presented by Sportika Sports and Zero Gravity Basketball. The Swarm is the second-largest AAU program in the country, with 16 regional locations and 250 teams across nine different states.
“We have welcomed in the New Jersey Swarm to continue building and expanding their very successful and national program within Sportika as a preferred partner,” said Jeffrey L. Jordan. “The combination of Zero Gravity and the New Jersey Swarm, as well as other important valued basketball partnerships, have strengthened the level of instruction and opportunity for kids and adults of all ages and abilities.”
The New Jersey Swarm operates under the direction of CEO Michael Byrnes and Regional Director Ben Badeen. Swarm AAU Basketball has experienced a tremendous amount of success on the youth basketball circuit under the leadership of both individuals.
“We could not be more excited to enter our teams into the Zero Gravity and Sportika Sports Central Jersey Winter League,” said Badeen. “Sportika provides all you need in a basketball facility at the highest level, and Zero Gravity Basketball runs the best fall, winter and spring circuits in the country!”
Badeen is a former Division 2 scholarship basketball player at Holy Family University. His passion and intensity go unmatched on the court, and he has now shifted that same mentality into helping youth achieve whatever goals and dreams that they have in life.
The vision of Swarm CEO Michael Byrnes is to teach young athletes to play the game of basketball the right way. He remains focused on the nationwide expansion of Swarm AAU Basketball in order to give more young players an opportunity to participate in basketball at all levels.
