Registration Open for National Championship Series, Presidents Cup and Commissioners Cup Play

Registration is now open for New Jersey Youth Soccer’s 2017-18 State Cup competitions, which include the National Championship Series, Presidents Cup and Commissioners Cup.

“The 2017-18 season is quickly approaching, and we are excited to host the State Cup tournaments,” said Buddy Hart, NJ Youth Soccer Games Commissioner. “Through our three levels of State Cup play, we are able to accommodate teams seeking various degrees of competition. Last season’s tournaments were very successful and we look forward to further developing the event this upcoming season of play.”

To register for State Cup competition, teams will need to first create a Bonzi/Bluestar account. For assistance in the registration process, please contact Lorie Hynes, NJ Youth Soccer Member Services and State Cups Coordinator, via email at statecups@njyouthsoccer.com. The fall schedule for State Cups can also be viewed online.

The National Championship Series is the country’s most prestigious national youth soccer tournament, providing winners from each state the opportunity to showcase their soccer skills against the best competition in the nation while emphasizing teamwork, discipline and fair play.

The Presidents Cup is a national tournament that is designed to create a high-level competition for teams that are looking to play against teams of similar abilities, where those teams that advance will play for a regional or possibly a national title.

The Commissioners Cup is a tournament that was successfully introduced this past year and hosts travel teams in the U11 to U14 age groups in the fall, with the U15 and U16 age groups participating in the spring/summer. This state-only tournament is designed to create a challenging and enjoyable event for teams that do not play in the National Championship Series or Presidents Cup.

Players and teams may only enter one State Cup competition. Opening matches are hosted by one of the competing teams, while the semifinals and finals are hosted by NJ Youth Soccer at a neutral site.
