As part of a continued effort to enhance the youth soccer experience for its membership, New Jersey Youth Soccer has announced a renewal of its partnership with the Soccer Parenting Association. Through the relationship, clubs and parents are provided valuable resources and information via access to the Soccer Parent Resource Center’s coach and parent education platform.

“Our mission is to provide fun and safe soccer experiences at all ages and abilities for the youth soccer community,” said Evan Dabby, NJYS Executive Director. “Soccer Parenting provides a resource for both club leaders and their parents that supports this mission, and we are thrilled to see nearly 40 NJYS clubs sign on to take advantage of this member benefit.”

NJYS Member Clubs that are currently active members of the Soccer Parent Resource Center include Alliance FC of Barnegat, Bulldogs Soccer Club, Cedar Stars Academy, Chatham United SC, Clark Soccer Club, East Windsor PAL, Florham Park Youth Soccer, Freehold Soccer League, German American Kickers, Holmdel FC, Howell United SC, Jackson Soccer Club, Jefferson Youth Soccer, Kearny Thistle United, Lacey Soccer Club, Lawrence Hamnett SA, Lyndhurst Youth SC, Maroons SC, Match Fit Academy, Medford Strikers SC, Millstone United Copa, Neptune Soccer Association, Next Level Soccer Academy, Peninsula SC, Point Pleasant SA, PSA, Rumson FC, Sayreville Athletic Association Soccer, Sayreville SC, Scotch Plains Fanwood SC, SCP Youth Soccer, STA, Stafford SC, Twin County Soccer Association, Upper Freehold Allentown SA and Westfield Soccer Club.

“The New Jersey Youth Soccer Association is a national leader when it comes to appreciating the important role parents play in the soccer experience of their children,” said Skye Eddy, founder of the Soccer Parenting Association. “Our strong relationship with NJ Youth Soccer has provided thousands of parents and coaches with the support they need to help players feel inspired.”

The Soccer Parenting Association has a mission to inspire players by empowering parents. They believe that a strong and supportive community of level-headed and like-minded parents and coaches will help create a more collaborative youth soccer environment. Further, they feel that when parents seek information about how to best support their youth players, they will become difference makers in the overall improvement of the game.

The SoccerParentResourceCenter.com is a website dedicated to educating youth soccer parents and coaches. Everything on the platform is created specifically with youth soccer parents in mind. NJYS member clubs in good standing are provided access to the full suite of Soccer Parenting Association resources, with the state association covering 80% of the costs (i.e. $100 annual commitment from the club).

Starting in 2021, the Soccer Parenting Association also began sponsoring the NJYS Soccer Parent of the Year Award. The recipient of the award receives a plaque and is honored at NJYS Annual Awards Presented by RWJBarnabas Health.
