STA Soccer was crowned U-17 Boys State Cup champions.

The 2017 New Jersey Youth Soccer Presidents Cup champions and National Championship Series winners were crowned this past Sunday, as the statewide competitions were decided from the U-15 to U-18 range in both the boys and girls divisions. Winners from both competitions will now advance to represent New Jersey in regional competition against other state champions.

“On behalf of everyone at New Jersey Youth Soccer, we would like to congratulate all of the teams that competed over the weekend,” said Buddy Hart, NJ Youth Soccer Games Commissioner. “These athletes have clearly put in an incredible amount of hard work and dedication to reach this level, and that was evidenced by the high caliber of play we saw on the field. We know that each of our winners will represent the State of New Jersey exceptionally well as they advance to regional competition.”

The U.S. Youth Soccer’s Presidents Cup is a national tournament that is designed to create a high-level competition for teams that are looking to play against teams of similar abilities, where those teams that advance will play for a regional or possibly a national title.

The U.S. Youth Soccer National Championship Series is the country’s most prestigious national youth soccer tournament, providing winners from each state the opportunity to showcase their soccer skills against the best competition in the nation while emphasizing teamwork, discipline and fair play.
