Submissions Now Being Accepted for NJYS Goal of the Year Powered by the New York Red Bulls

New Jersey Youth Soccer officially announced today that the New York Red Bulls will be the presenting sponsor of its annual Goal of the Year Award, which is now entitled the NJYS Goal of the Year powered by the New York Red Bulls. Submissions are currently being accepted for consideration, and the winner will be celebrated at the 2020 NJYS Awards Dinner on Friday, January 31st.

To submit nominations for the NJYS Goal of the Year powered by the New York Red Bulls:

  • Post your video to Twitter or Instagram and include the hashtag #NJYSGOY. Make sure to tag @NJYouthSoccer when you post it.
  • Include any relevant information regarding the context of the goal (e.g. game-winner at NJYS State Cups Final).
  • Please post the highest quality version of the video. In order for the goal to be played at the NJYS Awards Dinner and Red Bull Arena, the video must be of high quality and resolution (as determined by NJYS and RBNY).

In addition to being honored at the 2020 NJYS Awards Dinner, the recipient will also receive two tickets to a 2020 Red Bulls home match where the winning goal will be displayed on the two video boards at Red Bull Arena (date to be decided by the Red Bulls). Further, the goal will be featured on Red Bulls social media platforms, and the club will also provide a gift to the winner.

NJ Youth Soccer recently announced a renewal of its partnership with the Red Bulls, continuing a dedicated focus on the development of youth soccer in New Jersey. Additionally, the two groups will work together on a variety of community initiatives such as TOPSoccer and the Urban Soccer Program.

Each year, NJ Youth Soccer hosts roughly 800 guests at its Annual Awards Dinner, honoring New Jersey players, teams, coaches, referees and volunteers for outstanding performances and contributions during the preceding year. The evening also acknowledges many of the state’s boys and girls U.S. Youth Soccer National Championship Series, Presidents Cup and Commissioners Cup team champions, as well as players selected for the U.S. Youth Soccer East Region ODP pool team. Additionally, a new member is inducted into the NJ Youth Soccer Hall of Fame, with previous inductees including Tony Meola, Christie Pearce Rampone, Tab Ramos, Carli Lloyd, John Harkes and Tobin Heath.
