NJ Youth Soccer and RWJBarnabas Health Welcome TOPSoccer Programs

NJYS TOPSoccer

New Jersey Youth Soccer and RWJ Barnabas Health proudly recognize the TOPSoccer programs registered for the 2019-2020 Season. NJ Youth Soccer works closely with each of its affiliated TOPSoccer programs throughout the state to help young athletes with disabilities to achieve, develop and participate in the game of soccer.

Clubs that currently operate a TOPSoccer program in New Jersey include Champions Soccer Club, Chatham United, Cranford Soccer Club, East Brunswick Soccer Club, Franklin Township Soccer Club, Glen Rock Shooting Stars, Harrison Soccer Club, Howell Soccer Club, Maple Shade Soccer – Moorestown Recreation, Montclair United Soccer Club, Morris United, Mount Laurel United Soccer, Oaklyn Soccer Club, Point Pleasant Soccer Club, Teaneck Junior Soccer League, Toms River FC, Watchung Hills Soccer Club, West Morris Soccer Club and West Orange United FC.

“TOPSoccer is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl with special needs,” said Carol Cordiner, NJYS TOPSoccer Program Director. “The goal of TOPSoccer is to enable these young athletes to develop their physical fitness, technical skills, courage and self-esteem through the joy and excitement of playing soccer.”

RWJBarnabas Health, which is also the presenting sponsor of the NJYS Annual Awards Dinner, recently expanded its partnership to specifically support TOPSoccer. As part of that agreement, RWJBarnabas Health will sponsor TOPSoccer Coach and Buddy training as well as sponsor a TOPSoccer Jamboree.

“TOPSoccer is a terrific program that offers boys and girls with special needs, access to the game, in a welcoming environment,” said Barry H. Ostrowsky, President and Chief Executive Officer of RWJBarnabas Health. “It’s both inspiring and rewarding to support a program, proven to have such a positive impact on kids in the communities we serve.”
