Peter Grandich and Company to Donate All Sales Proceeds Made During Spring Lake Five on May 26
Peter Grandich and Company announced today its support of Back on My Feet, a national organization that uses running and community involvement to motivate and support individuals from homelessness to personal independence. In support of the foundation, Peter Grandich and Company will donate all sales proceeds of its sports memorabilia that occur during the Spring Lake Five Mile Run, which takes place on Saturday, May 26.
“The Spring Lake Five will surely be a great day for our community, and it provides the perfect platform to support a special organization in Back on My Feet,” said Peter Grandich, Managing Member of Peter Grandich and Company. “Back on My Feet will receive 100% of the funds that are generated that day through the sales of sports memorabilia that is signed by our clients and the team members of Trinity Financial, Sports & Entertainment Management Company.”
Held since 1977, the Spring Lake Five Mile Run has grown from a small local fun run into New Jersey’s largest road race. Now a nationally recognized event, the Spring Lake Five was selected by Runner’s World Magazine as one of the top 100 races in the country. After payment of race expenses, all proceeds are donated to charitable organizations or allocated for town projects. Since 2002, it has raised over $2.1 million for Spring Lake Recreation, numerous volunteer groups and other charitable organizations.
Operating in 12 major cities, Back on My Feet has a mission to help individuals obtain education, employment and housing. The foundation recruits members from homeless and residential facilities throughout the country, first asking those individuals for a commitment to run three mornings a week. After 30 days in the program, members with 90% attendance earn the opportunity to move into its second phase called Next Steps. This stage of the program provides educational support, job training, employment referrals and housing resources.
Since launching in 2007, Back on My Feet has engaged more than 100,000 volunteers and supporters. Members have run a collective 500,000 miles, and the program has resulted in more than 5,500 jobs and homes.
