SCSU Women’s Soccer Providing Support to CJSA TOPSoccer Festival

When the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA) hosts its upcoming TOPSoccer Festival on Saturday, May 20th, the state association will have full support from Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) Women’s Soccer. Players, coaches and staff from the program will be volunteering throughout the entire event, which is free of charge for all participants. Sponsored by DICK’S Sporting Goods, the CJSA TOPSoccer Festival will take place on May 20th from 1 PM to 3 PM at Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park in Wallingford.

“TOPSoccer is a hugely impactful program. The Southern Women’s Soccer team is grateful for the opportunity to support and mentor the TOPSoccer athletes,” said Adam Cohen, head coach of the SCSU Women’s Soccer Program.

TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a recreational sports program for children with intellectual, emotional and physical disabilities. Developed by US Youth Soccer, TOPSoccer provides an opportunity for those with diverse abilities to play the game in a structured environment that is safe, fun, supportive and inclusive.
