Benefit Event for paws4vets Took Place this Past Weekend at Crystal Point Yacht Club

Shore Point Advisors, a Brielle-based wealth management firm, enjoyed a highly successful event this past weekend when it hosted the 4th Annual Night Amongst Heroes Gala at the Crystal Point Yacht Club in Point Pleasant, N.J.

The Gala benefitted paws4vets, a division of paws4people, which trains and places specialized assistance dogs with veterans and active-duty service members who are living with psychiatric, emotional or physical difficulties as a result of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TMI) and/or Military Sexual Trauma (MST). A total of $33,000 was raised for their cause at the 4th Annual Night Amongst Heroes Gala.

“On behalf of Shore Point Advisors, we want to thank all of the sponsors, donors, volunteers and attendees who made our 4th Annual Night Amongst Heroes Gala such a great success,” said Jason Lamb, Founder & CEO of Shore Point Advisors. “This event goes to such an incredible cause in paws4vets, and we would not be able to pull it off without the help and assistance of so many who continue to support us each year.”

The Gala began with a cocktail hour that was followed by a seated dinner and live music from Misfit Johnny, as well as a deejay from Limelight Entertainment. During the event, a Silent Auction was also held where participants had the opportunity to win unique experiences and one-of-a-kind items.

Additionally, a few special presentations took place throughout the evening. Two veterans who have benefitted from paws4vets shared their heartfelt stories about how the presence of a dog has drastically increased their happiness and overall quality of life. A special check presentation was also made from the Rockafeller Memorial Committee and Wall Township PBA Civic Association, who recently had a memorial statue dedicated to local World War II hero Harry Rockafeller at the Police Headquarters in Wall Township, N.J. The committee made a $10,000 donation to paws4vets to have a group of puppies named “Rocky” in honor of Rockafeller, and they were greeted by a great surprise when it was revealed that one of those puppies was present at the Gala.

While the 4th Annual Night Amongst Heroes Gala may now be in the books, the team at Shore Point Advisors would still like to encourage any interested parties to contribute to the very worthy cause of paws4vets by visiting the organization online at paws4vets.org.
