Perth Climbs Level with Canberra United Atop the W-League Ladder

Perth Glory won its third consecutive match over the weekend in Westfield W-League play, going on the road and defeating Adelaide United, 4-1.

Sky Blue FC forward Sam Kerr continued her 2016 offensive tear by registering a brace in the match, bringing her season total to a league-leading five goals. Her first tally came in the 34th minute when she put her club on top, 1-0, by finishing a shot from 18 yards out.  Her second goal of the match came in the 66th minute to make the score 3-1 in favor of Perth, which then went onto the eventual 4-1 victory.

Sky Blue FC midfielder Nikki Stanton played virtually the entire contest for Perth as well, making the start and not being substituted until the third minute of second half stoppage time.

Currently the hottest side in the W-League, Perth is riding a league-best three-game winning streak and has now elevated itself to being level with Canberra United atop the W-League table. On the season, Perth is 4-1-1 for a total of 13 points.
