Sky Blue FC of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) announced today that the team has formalized a corporate partnership with Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, which serves authentic coal fired specialties in more than 60 restaurants throughout the Northeast and Florida.
“It is our pleasure to welcome Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza into the Sky Blue FC family,” said Tony Novo, Sky Blue FC President & General Manager. “They are so engrained in the communities where their restaurants are located, and they are also devoted supporters of women’s athletics. Both of those characteristics make them such an appealing corporate partner, not to mention the incredible food they serve up at their venues!”
Sky Blue FC has already conducted its first co-promotional feature with Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, with the restaurant hosting three lucky fans who were selected to have lunch with head coach Christy Holly.
“My philosophy is to give back to our local communities. And, with 60-plus locations, we partner with many local schools, athletic clubs and other great community organizations,” said Anthony Bruno, Founder & CEO of Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza. “We are proud to support and partner with Sky Blue FC in the 2017 season. Sky Blue FC and the National Women’s Soccer League have many great players who continually set great examples within the local communities.”
Known for its high energy atmosphere and simple menu, Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza uses 800-degree coal burning ovens to create a well done taste. With a focus on fresh ingredients and authentic recipes, Anthony’s signature menu includes traditional and specialty pizzas with dough made daily and stretched to order; fresh coal-oven-roasted chicken wings; large homemade meatballs from a recipe passed down by Anthony’s grandmother; a classic Italian salad with original dressing; and Eggplant Marino (a favorite of NFL Hall of Fame legend and restaurant partner Dan Marino).
