Saker ShopRites Returns for Ninth Season as a Sky Blue FC Sponsor
Sky Blue FC of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) officially announced today that it has renewed its corporate partnership with Saker ShopRites for the 2018 season. One of the original team sponsors of Sky Blue FC, Saker ShopRites is now entering the ninth year of its partnership with the team.
“Saker ShopRites has played a pivotal role in the evolution of both Sky Blue FC and the game of women’s soccer,” said Tony Novo, Sky Blue FC President and General Manager. “Saker ShopRites has been on our team since 2009, and we are proud to welcome them back for a ninth season in 2018. We truly want to thank everyone at Saker ShopRites for their incredible support over the past decade.”
As mentioned, Saker ShopRites has been a corporate partner of Sky Blue FC in each of its previous eight professional seasons, and it stands as the longest running sponsor of the franchise. One of the most notable components of the relationship is the Saker ShopRites Halftime Kick at each home match, where one randomly selected fan is given the opportunity to win $10,000 in groceries. An additional element is its designation of the Saker ShopRites Woman of the Match, which is awarded to the Sky Blue FC player who had the biggest impact on each game.

Sky Blue FC continues its 2018 Preseason Presented by Sportika Sports on Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. contest against West Virginia University. The team then concludes its preseason docket when it welcomes St. John’s University into Sportika Sports for a 2:00 p.m. kickoff on Sunday, March 18.
All Sky Blue FC preseason matches are open to the public, and admission to attend is free. Sportika Sports, which is the presenting sponsor of the 2018 Sky Blue FC Preseason, is located at 150 Woodward Road in Manalapan, N.J.
