Former UFC Contender Matt Hamill and Radio Host Bill Spadea to Serve as Event MCs
Sportika Sports will proudly welcome Easterseals New Jersey to its facility this Saturday, hosting the annual Play with Purpose fundraiser. The event is designed to educate the community about Easterseals and its support of those with disabilities and special needs.
“Sportika is humbled by the opportunity to host Easterseals annual fundraiser,” said Jeffrey L. Jordan, CEO of Sportika Sports. “To partner with an organization as respected and charitable as Easterseals is truly a blessing for Sportika. Our missions are aligned and hope that this is just the beginning of events on we will collaborate.”
Proceeds raised on Saturday will be allocated to Easterseals programming that enables its clients to achieve personal goals and become contributing members of their communities. As special guests, former UFC contender Matt Hamill and NJ 101.5 radio host Bill Spadea will serve as event MCs. Additionally, NJ 101.5 will be broadcasting live radio hits throughout the festivities.
“We are excited to celebrate the impact that recreation has in helping those with disabilities and special needs achieve a positive sense of self-worth,” said Helen Drobnis, Chief Advancement Officer for Easterseals New Jersey. “As a deaf athlete with significant accomplishments on the national stage, Matt Hamill, our MC for the day, reinforces this concept. Matt is a great example that regardless of an individual’s disability, they can still attain their personal goals.”
Play with Purpose highlights a theme of inclusion and emphasizes the message that anyone, regardless of ability, can and should have the opportunity to participate in recreational activities. Registration for Saturday’s fundraiser will begin at 9 a.m., with the event getting underway at 10 a.m. The curriculum includes arts and dance programs, prize giveaways, physical activities and many other forms of programming.

Sportika is a state-of-the-art facility that features one of the largest indoor turf fields in the State of New Jersey, along with seven high school regulation basketball courts. Additionally, the turf and court space can be transitioned for nearly any sport or activity.
