Tennessee Crowns Four Champions at Southern Presidents Cup

A Total of Five Tennessee Teams Headed to National Presidents Cup

The Tennessee State Soccer Association (TSSA) had an exceptional showing at the US Youth Soccer Southern Presidents Cup in Greenville, South Carolina, crowning four champions and qualifying a total of five teams for the National Presidents Cup next month. Champions from Tennessee include TSC Williamson Showcase 09 (14U Girls), 07 Lady Lobos Elite (16U Girls), Tennessee Premier Lanus (18U Boys) and WUSC 2005 Boys Black (19U Boys), with FC Alliance 2010G RL (13U Girls) also advancing to the national competition after reaching the Southern Presidents Cup Finals.

The USYS National Presidents Cup will take place from July 7-11 at the Stryker Sports Complex in Wichita, Kansas. Tournaments will be held for 13U to 19U boys and girls teams, opening with group play before hosting a semifinal and final round. College coaches and scouts will also be on hand at the competition as teams battle for the right to be called a national champion.

The Division 2 Tournament of the TSSA State Cup presents teams with the opportunity to qualify for the Southern Presidents Cup. The Presidents Cup provides a progressive environment for teams seeking a series of unique challenges highlighting competition, camaraderie and community.
