The Tennessee State Soccer Association (TSSA) has been very well represented at the US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Championships Presented by New York Life, with 13 affiliated teams advancing past group play and onto the next stage of the regional tournament. Matches for the USYS Southern Regional Championships are being played in Florida at the Tampa Sportsplex and the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex in Auburndale.
TSC Williamson 2012 Girls Showcase (13U Girls) moves onto the USYS Southern Regional Quarterfinals after a runner-up finish in group play, registering six points (2-1 record) on a 7-5 goal differential. Chattanooga FC 2010G Navy (14U Girls) went on an undefeated run in their group, winning the bracket on nine points (3-0 record) while outscoring their opposition, 9-1. One Knox 09 (15U Girls) will continue its postseason in the quarterfinals after going unbeaten in group play, where the team accumulated seven points (2-0-1 record) and recorded an 11-3 goal differential. After topping their group on nine points (3-0 record) and besting their opposition by a tally of 17-4, Kononia Lady Fire 2009/10 will also represent Tennessee in the 15U Girls Quarterfinals. KHM 08G Premier 1 (16U Girls) won their group in the opening round of play, recording seven points (2-0-1) and a 5-1 goal differential to advance into the quarterfinal round. 2007 Lady Lobos Rush Elite 64 (17U Girls) was dominant in group play, securing a top seed in the quarterfinals after locking up nine points (3-0 record) and outscoring their opposition by a tally of 14-2. After going undefeated in their group on nine points (3-0) and a 12-1 goal differential, Chattanooga FC 2006G Navy (18U Girls) officially booked its reservation in the semifinals on Tuesday. Both 19U Girls brackets at the Southern Regional Championships were won by Tennessee teams, with NUSA 06G Maroon earning seven points (2-0-1 record and 7-2 edge in goals) on their side and 05/06 Lady Lobos Rush Elite 64 topping their group with nine points (3-0 record) and a 14-4 goal differential.
Two Tennessee teams went undefeated to win their groups and secure spots in the 16U Boys Quarterfinals. Pateadores SC 2008 Blue finished with nine points (3-0 record) and outscored their opponents, 13-3, while TUSC 2008 earned a top seed on nine points (3-0 record) and a 12-2 goal differential in their bracket. Tennessee will also have a pair of representatives in the 17U Boys Quarterfinals. NUSA 07 Boys Maroon won their group by registering seven points (2-0-1 record) and a 10-3 edge in goals, with Germantown Legends 07 Premier topping their bracket on nine points (3-0 record) and a 7-1 goal differential.

Winners at the USYS Southern Regional Championships will move onto the USYS National Championships in July at the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida. The USYS National Championships Presented by New York Life are the country’s most prestigious national youth soccer tournament.
