SDFC Yellow 13U Girls Finish as National Championship Series Finalists and No. 2 Team in the Nation
New Jersey Youth Soccer had great representation this past weekend at the 2017 US Youth Soccer National Championship Series at the Toyota Soccer Center in Frisco, Texas. Three New Jersey teams advanced to the national competition, with Soccer Domain FC (SDFC) Yellow 13U Girls finishing as National Championship Series finalists and the no. 2 team in the nation.
“We are very proud of how our teams showcased the State of New Jersey this weekend,” said Buddy Hart, NJ Youth Soccer Games Commissioner. “They were matched up against the best teams in the country and proved that they are most deserving of being on that stage. We also want to take a moment to congratulate SDFC Yellow 13U Girls on reaching the national championship match, capping off the incredible season they enjoyed this year.”
In addition to SDFC Yellow 13U Girls, NJ Youth Soccer was also represented by the SDFC Yellow 14U Girls and Real Jersey Football Club 13U Boys. Both of those teams performed well in group play and earned victories against other regional champions, but they unfortunately did not advance to the finals.
The US Youth Soccer National Championships consisted of US Youth Soccer Regional Champions in the 14U through 19/20U Boys and Girls age groups, as well as the US Youth Soccer National League qualifiers in the 15U through 19/20U Boys and Girls age groups. A total of 96 teams competed in the National Championships.
