Three Tennessee Teams Advance to National Presidents Cup Semifinals

The State of Tennessee continues to be well represented on the grandest stages of youth soccer, as three Tennessee State Soccer Association (TSSA) teams have officially punched their tickets to the semifinals of the 15U National Presidents Cup in Wichita, Kansas. Playing in the semifinals on Monday will be FC Alliance 2010G RL (13U Girls), 2007 Lady Lobos Elite (16U Girls) and Tennessee Premier Lanus (18U Boys). Each of those semifinal matches will be broadcasted live on YouTube.

16U Girls: 2007 Lady Lobos Elite vs. Kansas Rush Wichita Academy 07G (KS) at 1:00 PM CT
18U Boys: Tennessee Premier Lanus vs. JFC 2005B Elite Blue (FL) at 10:30 AM CT

FC Alliance 2010G RL split three games in group play, recording a win, loss and draw to finish as the two seed in their bracket. 2007 Lady Lobos Elite registered a pair of victories matched with just a single defeat in their group, also advancing to the semifinals as the second-place qualifier. Tennessee Premier Lanus went 2-1-0 in the opening round of play, winning their group with six overall points. Two additional TSSA teams that competed at the National Presidents Cup after winning Southern Presidents Cup championships in their respective age groups were TSC Williamson Showcase 09 (14U Girls) and WUSC 2005 Boys Black (19U Boys).

The Division 2 Tournament of the TSSA State Cup presented teams with the opportunity to qualify for the Southern Presidents Cup, where teams then competed for advancement to the national tournament. The Presidents Cup provides a progressive environment for teams seeking a series of unique challenges highlighting competition, camaraderie and community.
