The Tennessee State Soccer Association (TSSA) recently held its 2023 TSSA Annual General Meeting, where it hosted member leagues, member clubs, partners and key decision makers.
“We had a tremendous day with our member clubs talking about growing the game in Tennessee,” said Hans Hobson, Chief Operating Officer of the Tennessee State Soccer Association. “We appreciate the time that our member clubs took to grow with us.”
During the 2023 TSSA Annual General Meeting, TSSA membership received program updates and heard from candidates who were running for positions within its Board of Directors. Please see below for a complete list of voting results from the elections.
- Executive Vice President – Rene Bustamante (Re-Elected)
- Vice President of Competitive – Ty Highsmith (Re-Elected)
- Vice President of Recreation – John Moore (Re-Elected)
- Middle District Director – John Lees (Re-Elected)
- Eastern District Director – Elise Morris (Re-Elected)
- Southeastern District Director – Curtis Blair (Re-Elected)
The evening prior to the TSSA Annual General Meeting, the state association hosted its 2023 TSSA Annual Awards Dinner, where players, teams, coaches, referees and volunteers were recognized for outstanding performances and contributions to youth soccer in the state. The celebration also included a special guest in National Soccer Hall of Fame member Esse Baharmast, who delivered the keynote address.
